- What permissions it actually requests. A text tool doesn't need access to the Windows registry, passwords, or user management. The broader the permissions "just in case," the bigger the damage from one mistake or breach.
- Whether it confirms before risky actions. A good tool asks before an irreversible step — publishing, deleting, sending a message. If it doesn't, every single call needs to be supervised.
