Website promotion in AI answers

People no longer scroll through ten links: they ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google AI and get a single answer naming two or three companies. GEO optimization makes sure yours is one of them. We will check for free what the assistants say about you right now.

Your customers already ask AI, not Google

People no longer scroll through ten links. They ask an assistant a question and get one answer naming two or three companies. If yours is not among them, you did not lose to a competitor in the rankings — you simply were not shown.

The last figure is the important one. It means first place in Google no longer guarantees a mention in the assistant answer: AI picks its sources by its own rules.

How GEO differs from SEO

GEO does not replace SEO, it builds on top of it. SEO brings a person to the site; GEO makes the site get named in the answer even when the person never visits it.

SEO

organic search
  • Goal — to take a place in the list of links
  • Who judges — the ranking algorithm
  • What matters most — links and domain authority
  • Text format — a long article covering the topic
  • How results are measured — positions and traffic
  • Where reputation lives — on your own site

GEO

artificial intelligence answers
  • Goal — to get into the answer text as a source
  • Who judges — the language model that retells it
  • What matters most — a ready direct answer that is easy to extract
  • Text format — self-contained paragraphs, lists, short answers
  • How results are measured — the share of answers that mention you
  • Where reputation lives — on other platforms the model knows you from

The practical takeaway: part of the work is shared between SEO and GEO — technical soundness, structure, markup. So if SEO promotion is already running for you, GEO will cost less: half the foundation is already in place.

How AI decides whom to name

The model does not “rank” sites. It assembles an answer from fragments it managed to find and understand. Six things decide whether your text gets in.

A direct answer in the text

The model takes a paragraph that answers the question completely and on its own, without reaching into the rest of the page. If your page says “we have been working since 2015 and grew from a small startup into a team of professionals”, while the answer to “how much does it cost” is buried three paragraphs below, the model has nothing to quote. A good paragraph for AI reads like a reply in a messenger: the point first, details after if wanted. The test is simple — read the first sentence of a section on its own: if it answers the question in the heading by itself, you are fine.

Structured data

Markup (schema.org) tells the machine that it is looking not at a pile of words but at a company, a service, a price and an address — in a format a parser reads unambiguously, without guessing. Without it the model has to infer from context what is a price and what is a phone number, and it more often gets it wrong or skips the page entirely. With markup it takes the data directly: the price as price, the service as Service, the company as Organization. We check the result in Google Rich Results Test and validator.schema.org rather than by eye — invalid markup is read by AI just as poorly as no markup at all.

A clear brand entity

The name, address, phone number and line of business have to match literally everywhere: on the site, in Google Business Profile, in industry directories, in social media profiles. “Smith and Partners” on the site and “Smith and Partners Sp. z o.o.” on the map are the same thing to a human, but two different, loosely linked mentions to a model. A mismatch in the address or phone number works the same way: the system cannot say with confidence that this is one company, and to be safe it names none at all if a less ambiguous competitor exists. This is the case where dull bureaucratic accuracy in your data is a direct source of visibility.

Mentions off your site

The model knows about your company not only from your site but from everything other sources write about you: industry directories, review platforms, local listings, mentions in articles and roundups. Your site is what you say about yourself; those platforms are what others confirm, and models trust the second more than the first, exactly as people do. A company with a profile in two or three respected directories and a dozen honest reviews looks more real and more visible to AI than a lone site without a single external trace, even if that site is technically flawless.

Freshness

An assistant with access to live search prefers the fresher source, all else being equal — a built-in trust signal, the same principle as in ordinary search. A price list unchanged for two years will either be skipped in favour of a more current competitor or quoted — giving the customer an outdated price, which damages trust more than being absent from the answer altogether. The date the page was last updated, recent reviews, current prices and working links are all signals that this information is still alive, and the model weighs them when choosing a source.

Access for AI bots

Every major assistant has its own page crawler — separate from ordinary search robots, with its own name in robots.txt and its own behaviour. If the site blocks it with a directive, needs JavaScript to display text, or hides content behind a captcha and aggressive bot protection, then for the model the site simply does not exist, however much content it holds. This is the most common technical cause of total invisibility: the site itself may be excellent, but the assistant physically cannot read it. It takes five minutes to check — open the page with JavaScript disabled and see whether the text is still there.

What we do

Nine lines of work. The client takes what they need: you can start with one page and expand, or cover everything at once.
  • Visibility measurementwe use real customer questions in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Copilot to see who gets named instead of you
  • Repackaging pages for a direct answerwe rewrite key pages so the answer sits in the first sentence
  • Markup for machinesstructured data about the company and prices, verified with Google validators
  • One consistent company cardname, address and phone in one form on the site, on maps and in directories
  • Question and answer blocksthe format assistants quote most willingly
  • Mentions on external platformsdirectories, listings and reviews, with no gaming and no grey schemes
  • Access for AI crawlerswe check whether the site lets assistant bots in and serves text without scripts
  • Data currencyprices and contacts are updated in one place and reach the sources immediately
  • Repeat measurement and reporta month later we repeat the same run and show the difference

How the work goes

Six steps. The first is free, and after the second it is already clear whether to continue.
Step 1 · free

Express check

We take five questions your buyer would ask and look at what the assistants answer. We send the result by email.

Step 2 · 3–5 days

Full audit

Up to fifty queries, an analysis of the causes and a list of work with prices. Then you decide what to do.

Step 3 · 1–2 weeks

Technical base

Markup, bot access, consistent company data. The things done once that keep working on their own.

Step 4 · page by page

Content repackaging

Key pages are rewritten for a direct answer. Payment is per page — you can go step by step.

Step 5 · ongoing

External mentions

The company appears on the platforms models draw market facts from. The effect accumulates.

Step 6 · after a month

Repeat measurement

The same run, the same table, the difference is visible. If there is none, we work out why instead of sending an invoice.

GEO for local business in Poland

When someone asks an assistant where to go, where to get something fixed or who to turn to, they get a list of two or three names. The job is to be on that list.

Dentistry and clinics

“Where in Białystok can I get an implant and how much does it cost” — a question the assistant answers with clinic names and a price range.

Car service

“Where can I get a gearbox fixed without overpaying” — a query with urgency and a readiness to pay today.

Restaurants and hotels

The assistant plans whole trips: where to eat, where to stay. Getting on that list means getting into the tourist route.

Online shops

Product comparisons are increasingly done by AI. It takes specifications and prices from the sites it managed to read.

Salons and personal services

Here reviews and a clear price list decide. The model has to be able to find and read both.

What it costs

You pay per item of work, not for a subscription. It is visible what the bill is made of, and you can take only what you need. Prices are net, without VAT.

What you get

We do not promise positions — in AI answers they do not exist. We promise something measurable.

Share of answers with a mention

Out of how many questions asked the assistant names you. Counted before the work and after, using the same list.

Links to your site among the sources

Perplexity and Google AI show their sources as a list. Your domain is either there or it is not — that is unambiguous.

Visits from AI in your analytics

We set things up so traffic from assistants shows as a separate line. After that you track the trend yourself.

We will check for free whether AI names you

Send us your website address and five questions your buyer would ask. We will run them through ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Copilot and tell you what the person on the other end sees.

Frequently asked questions

What is GEO optimization in plain words

GEO is preparing your site for what artificial intelligence will say about your company. People used to choose from ten links themselves; now the assistant gives one answer and names two or three firms in it. GEO optimization makes sure yours is among them.

How GEO differs from SEO, and is SEO still needed

SEO is still needed: ordinary search has not gone anywhere, and the technical soundness of a site works for both channels. The difference is in the goal. SEO lifts the site in the list of links; GEO gets it mentioned in the answer text. The overlap between the Google top and the sources AI cites has fallen from about 70 % to under 20 % — meaning first place no longer guarantees a mention.

Why does AI not recommend my company

Usually for one of four reasons: the site does not let AI crawlers in, or serves text only through scripts; the pages carry no ready direct answer to quote; company data differs between the site, maps and directories; almost nobody writes about you outside your own site. The express check shows which reason is yours.

How to check your site visibility in AI yourself

Ask an assistant five questions the way your client would ask them — without naming your firm. For example, “where in Białystok can I order a website for a company”. Look at who is named and which sources are listed. Repeat in ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity: the answers will differ. That is the measurement, just done by hand.

How long to wait for results

The first changes are visible after three or four weeks: that is how long it takes for updated pages to reach the indexes assistants draw on. Work involving external mentions accumulates and unfolds over several months. The technical part — markup and bot access — takes one or two weeks.

How much does GEO optimization cost

Payment is per item, from 50 € per item of work: a page, a measurement, a question section. There is no subscription — you take only what you need and can go step by step. The express check is free. The exact sum for your site is calculated by the cost calculator.

Do you guarantee that AI will name us

No, and nobody can honestly give that guarantee: the model answer depends on how the question is worded and changes from query to query. What we do guarantee is measurability. We record the share of answers mentioning you before the work, repeat the same run afterwards and show the difference. If there is none, we work out why.

Is adding an llms.txt file enough

No. A lot is written about that file, but there is no confirmed evidence that it affects citation — the large models do not use it as a basis for decisions. Other things work: a clear text structure with direct answers, structured data, consistent company information and mentions on other platforms. You can add the file, it does no harm, but it should not be treated as the solution.

I have a small company, is there any point

There is more point than for large ones. In ordinary search a small company struggles to outrank chains with link budgets. An assistant, though, picks its source by how clear and accurate the answer is, not by the size of an advertising budget — here a small firm genuinely competes. On top of that the GEO market in Poland is still empty: taking a place is cheaper now than catching up in two years.

Do you work with sites that are not on your platform

Yes. We build and maintain sites on various systems — WordPress, Joomla, Bitrix, OpenCart and others. For GEO the platform hardly matters: what counts is what the site serves to the browser and the robot. If there is no access to the code at all, part of the work can be done by your own developer following our list.
