IT Deweloper web studio helps remove obstacles to your website running properly and bringing in clients, including:

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">1. How do I speed up my site so clients don't leave? </a>Loading speed isn't just about convenience — it's a direct conversion factor. Every extra second of delay can cost you 7% of potential clients.

- **A current PHP version** gives a 20–30% speed boost with no code changes. Switch it in your hosting panel in a couple of clicks.
- **Updating your CMS and plugins** to compatible versions. Old code runs slower; newer versions ship with optimisations.
- **Caching and Gzip.** Turn on built-in caching in your CMS and check server compression — it shrinks files 3–4×.
- **Image optimisation.** WebP instead of JPEG plus automatic compression removes the biggest source of slow loading.

Start with the first three points — results within an hour, no developer needed, no risk.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">2. How do I compress images without losing quality? </a>Heavy images are one of the main enemies of site speed and search rankings. The good news: compressing them by 70–80% is barely noticeable to the eye but speeds up loading 2–3×.

- **WordPress:** install the free Smush or ShortPixel plugin — they automatically optimise photos on upload with no manual work.
- **Joomla:** use JCH Optimize, open the "Images" tab, and turn on automatic processing. The plugin runs in the background.
- **Bitrix:** go to "Settings" → "Image optimisation" and enable automatic processing on upload.
- **OpenCart:** install the Image Compressor module and set the compression level in the module's parameters.
- **For any CMS:** also use WebP instead of JPEG — it saves 25–35% with no loss of quality.

The main rule: turn on automatic compression once and forget about the problem. Every new upload will be optimised automatically.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">3. How do I connect a "site accelerator" (CDN)? </a>If your clients are spread across different regions and countries, a single server can't serve them all at the same speed. A CDN solves this: it copies your site's files to dozens of data centres worldwide and serves them from the one closest to each visitor.

- **Cloudflare (free):** sign up, add your domain, follow the instructions to change your DNS. Within a few hours the site will be faster for every visitor, with no extra setup.
- **WordPress:** install the official Cloudflare plugin and connect it with an API key — it's all done in the admin panel.
- **Joomla:** use the System — Page Cache plugin with CDN support, or connect to Cloudflare directly via DNS.
- **Bitrix:** built-in CDN support is available in the admin panel — just fill in the server parameters.
- **Paid alternatives:** Akamai, KeyCDN, BunnyCDN — for sites with very high traffic.

Setup takes no more than 15 minutes and only needs a DNS change or a couple of clicks in the admin panel. The result: the site opens fast for everyone, no matter where they are.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">4. How do I protect against data loss? </a>A server failure, a virus, or an admin mistake can all lead to a total loss of your site and all your clients' data. Regular backups aren't optional — they're a necessity. With them, recovery takes minutes instead of days.

- **WordPress:** install the UpdraftPlus plugin, pick a cloud storage option (Google Drive, Dropbox), and set up a daily automatic backup.
- **Joomla:** use the Akeeba Backup component, which can send copies to the cloud or an external server via FTP.
- **Hosting panel:** most hosts offer built-in backups — go to settings and set a schedule.
- **Restore testing:** once a month, test restoring from a backup to make sure the copies actually work and are complete.

At the very least, weekly backups will save you from catastrophic downtime. Daily is even better. The cost of external storage is minimal compared to the potential losses from missing data.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">5. How do I safely update my website's CMS? </a>An outdated CMS doesn't just mean a slow, clunky site — it's also an open door for hackers. Every update closes known security holes, improves performance, and often adds new features. Updating still needs care, though: doing it wrong can cause plugin conflicts, lost functionality, or even break the site completely.

**Why this matters:** in 2023–2024, most site hacks happened through vulnerabilities in outdated CMS versions. Updating isn't optional — it's a necessity for protecting client data and your business's reputation.

- **Step 1 — backup (critical):** before any update, create a full backup of your database and files. This is your safety net — if something goes wrong, you'll be back to the original state in 10–15 minutes with minimal lost traffic.
- **Step 2 — check plugin compatibility:** before updating, make sure all installed plugins and extensions are compatible with the new CMS version. This is usually noted on the plugin's page or in its description. Disable or remove anything incompatible.
- **WordPress:** in the admin panel, go to "Updates" and click "Update core". The system will tell you which plugins need updating. Update the core first, then plugins one at a time, checking that everything still works between updates.
- **Joomla:** open "System" → "Maintenance" → "Joomla Update" and follow the step-by-step instructions. After the core update, update components and modules via "Install" → "Extensions Manager".
- **Bitrix:** use the built-in "Platform Update" tool in the admin panel. The system checks module compatibility itself and warns about possible conflicts.
- **Step 3 — post-update check:** turn the site back on and test it thoroughly: open a few key pages, submit a test enquiry form, check the cart (if there's a store), make sure emails are arriving. If you find a problem, roll back from the backup right away.

**Tip:** update at least once a month, or right away when a critical security update comes out (the CMS itself usually notifies you). Don't put it off "for later" — the risk of a hack grows every day. This habit will protect you from 90% of problems and put you ahead of competitors on speed, reliability, and client trust.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">6. How do I clean up the "clutter" on my site? </a>Over time, every site builds up "digital clutter": drafts, deleted products, unused plugins, error logs, temporary files, spam comments, and outdated page versions. All of this weighs down the database, slows things down, and eats up valuable disk space. Regular cleanup is like servicing a car: it doesn't cost much, but it significantly extends the system's life.

**What actually piles up:** temporary database tables, cache files, failed-login logs, old article versions (if versioning is enabled), unused extensions, spam in comments and form submissions. Every one of these eats server resources.

- **WordPress:** install the WP-Optimize plugin. It removes spam comments, optimises database tables, deletes drafts and autosaves, and clears cache and transient options — all in one click, and you can see how much space you've freed up.
- **Joomla:** the built-in cleanup tools are in "System" → "Maintenance". You'll find tools there for clearing cache, expired sessions, temp files, and optimising database tables. No extra plugins needed.
- **OpenCart:** go to "Administration" → "Settings" → "Tools" → "Clear cache". From there you can also delete logs and clear temporary upload files.
- **Bitrix:** use the built-in optimisation tool in the admin panel — the "Service" → "Optimisation" section, where full cleanup and database defragmentation are available.
- **Checking database size:** check the database size before and after cleanup (in your hosting panel or phpMyAdmin). You'll be surprised how much space you free up — often 10% to 50% of the original size.

**Schedule:** run an automatic cleanup at least once a month (most tools let you schedule this). For high-activity sites (lots of orders, comments, updates) — once a week. It takes 5 minutes a month but keeps your site in top shape and running at maximum speed.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">7. How do I check that my site looks right on mobile? </a>Mobile traffic has long been the majority: over 60% of visitors come from smartphones and tablets. If your site looks bad on mobile, you're not just losing visitors — you're losing money. Poorly displayed enquiry forms, tiny buttons, awkward navigation — all of this leads to bounces and lost conversions. Google also penalises sites with a poor mobile version, lowering their search rankings.

**What to check on mobile:** font size (should be readable without zooming), button tap targets (at least 44×44 pixels for a finger), spacing between elements, how the navigation menu adapts, whether forms and modals work, loading speed, and correct image placement.

- **Quick browser check:** open the site in Google Chrome or Firefox, press F12 (or right-click → "Inspect"), and find the smartphone icon in the corner of the dev tools panel — this turns on mobile emulation mode. Check all the main pages: home, services, contact, the enquiry form. Try submitting the form and clicking every button.
- **Real devices:** an emulator only shows part of the problem. Check the site on an actual smartphone (yours or a colleague's) — that way you'll see the real loading speed and how it actually behaves on a touchscreen.
- **WordPress:** most themes are responsive by default, but you can fine-tune things through the built-in Customizer (Appearance → Customize). There you can change font sizes, spacing, and colours specifically for mobile.
- **Joomla:** choose templates that support Bootstrap 5 or a newer framework. YOOtheme Pro (a popular Joomla page builder) is fully mobile-oriented and lets you fine-tune the layout for every screen size separately.
- **Bitrix:** open the site settings in the admin panel and check the mobile version settings. You can use built-in mobile templates or extra adaptation components.
- **Google Mobile-Friendly Test:** use Google's official tool to check mobile compatibility. It shows which elements work poorly on mobile and gives specific recommendations.

**Practical tip:** every popular CMS today has built-in mobile support, but manual fine-tuning is sometimes needed. Don't rely purely on automation — spend an hour testing by hand. It can noticeably increase enquiries from mobile visitors. Check the mobile version after every major content or design update.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">8. How do I set up caching for instant page delivery? </a>Caching is one of the most effective ways to speed up a site without spending on hardware. Instead of recalculating the page content every single time, the server stores a ready-made HTML page and delivers it instantly. The result: response time drops 3–10× and the site starts "flying" even under heavy load.

**How it works:** the first visitor loads the page the normal (slow) way, and the server remembers the result and stores it in memory. Every visitor after that gets the ready-made copy — no database queries, no PHP processing. This works as long as the content isn't updated. Once you publish a new article or change a product, the cache refreshes automatically.

- **At the hosting level:** many hosts offer LiteSpeed Cache right in the control panel. Find it in settings and turn it on — this boosts speed with no extra plugins.
- **WordPress:** install WP Rocket (paid, $39–119/year, but pays for itself) or the free W3 Total Cache. WP Rocket is easier and quicker to set up, even for a beginner — just activate it and forget about it. W3 Total Cache is free but needs more manual configuration.
- **Joomla:** the built-in caching system is already there. Go to "System" → "Plugins", find the "System — Page Cache" plugin, and enable it. Then open the global settings and set the cache time to 30–60 minutes.
- **Bitrix:** use the built-in "Composite cache" — it's found in the site settings. Turn on caching for both logged-in and anonymous users. Bitrix clears the cache automatically when content is updated.
- **Extra — browser cache:** set up temporary file storage on the visitor's computer. CSS, JS, and images load once and are then pulled from the local browser cache. This further speeds up repeat visits.

**Important:** caching works well for static content (services, product descriptions, blog), but can cause issues with dynamic content (cart, account area, AJAX forms). Caching plugins usually exclude such pages from the cache automatically. Even basic caching cuts server response time several times over and noticeably improves how the site behaves under traffic spikes.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">9. How do I run a quick site audit using AI? </a>A professional site audit usually costs money and takes days. But you can get a useful analysis in a minute right now, using artificial intelligence. AI can look at your page through a client's eyes and point out problems you missed: unclear copy, weak calls to action, a lack of trust signals, distracting elements.

**Benefits of an AI audit:** speed (1–2 minutes), objectivity (the machine isn't biased), coverage (it analyses text, structure, and usability at once), and cost (free). Downside: AI won't check the technical side (speed, mobile-friendliness, security) — you need dedicated tools for that.

- **Step 1 — save the page:** open your site's page in a browser, press Ctrl+S (Cmd+S on Mac), choose "Webpage, complete", or simply copy the entire page HTML (Ctrl+A, then Ctrl+C).
- **Step 2 — open an AI tool:** go to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other text-based AI. Upload the HTML file or paste the page text straight into the input field.
- **Step 3 — use a ready-made prompt:** copy and paste this text into the AI:

*"Imagine you're a business owner who just landed on this page for the first time. Analyse the uploaded HTML code. Point out what makes it hard to quickly grasp the offer, what elements are distracting, and where trust and a call to action are missing. Give 5 specific recommendations in plain language."*
- **Step 4 — get your report:** in 30–60 seconds the AI will give you a detailed analysis with specific advice. You'll typically get 5–10 improvement points that actually work.
- **Step 5 — dig deeper:** if you want to check a specific aspect, ask a follow-up question: "What would a person notice when viewing this on mobile?" or "Which text feels unconvincing, and why?"

**Practical tip:** use an AI audit regularly — after adding new content, before launching a promo campaign, or when conversions drop. It takes at most 5 minutes but often catches problems that aren't obvious at a glance. Combine an AI audit with technical checks (Google PageSpeed, mobile version) to get the full picture of your site's condition and quickly prioritise improvements.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">10. How do I get rid of extensions that are slowing down my site? </a>Unused plugins, modules, and extensions are a hidden enemy of your site's performance. Every installed plugin loads on every page request, runs its own code, and hits the database — even if you never use it. The result: the site slows down, security vulnerabilities appear (every extension is a potential hole for hackers), and server load grows.

**What to remove:** plugins with fancy names that you installed a month ago and forgot about; duplicate functionality (two cache plugins, several SEO extensions); test modules; old plugin versions with newer replacements already installed. A typical site usually carries 5–15 excess extensions that just eat up resources.

- **Step 1 — backup:** before removing any extensions, always create a full backup. If you accidentally delete something important, you can restore it in 10 minutes.
- **Step 2 — make a list:** write down all installed plugins/modules. Next to each, note why it's needed and when it was last used. Anything you can't answer for is a candidate for removal.
- **WordPress:** go to admin → "Plugins". Deactivate the plugin you don't need (click "Deactivate"), make sure the site still works, then delete it completely (click "Delete"). Remove them one at a time, checking after each removal.
- **Joomla:** open "System" → "Manage" → "Plugins and modules" (or "Extensions" → "Manage"). Find the unneeded extension, click on it, and click "Uninstall". The system will show if there are any dependencies.
- **OpenCart:** go to "Administration" → "Extensions" → "Extension Installer". Find the unused extension and click the delete icon (trash can). After removing it, clear the cache in "Tools".
- **Bitrix:** use the built-in module manager in the admin panel — "Service" → "Module manager". Disable the modules you don't need, then delete them for good if they don't require keeping history.
- **Step 3 — post-removal check:** after removing each extension, load the site's main pages, check forms and the cart (if there is one), and make sure nothing broke. If you find a problem, restore from the backup and pick a different extension to remove.

**Golden rule:** only install extensions you're actually going to use. Before installing a new plugin, ask yourself: "Isn't there already a built-in feature that does this?" Built-in tools are always faster and safer than extra plugins. Audit your extensions once a quarter and remove anything unnecessary. It takes 30 minutes but can speed up your site by 20–40%.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">11. How do I know my site needs updates, and why does it matter? </a>An outdated CMS and extensions aren't just a technical issue you can put off "for later" — it's a direct, tangible risk to your business. Every day without current versions is a day your site is exposed to hackers. They can install malware, send spam from your domain (getting you blacklisted), steal client data from forms, or redirect traffic to phishing sites. A single successful attack can cost you your reputation and clients for months.

**Why updates matter so much:** every update closes known security vulnerabilities. If you don't update, you leave an open door for anyone who knows about those vulnerabilities — and thousands do. On top of that, older versions are often slower, incompatible with modern browsers, and lose developer support.

- **WordPress:** in the admin panel, find the "Updates" section (often marked with a red number). It lists every available update: core, plugins, themes. A red number means there are critical security updates.
- **Joomla:** open "System" → "Control Panel" → "System Information" (or right in the admin panel). It shows your current Joomla version and available updates. Also check components and modules via "Install" → "Extensions Manager".
- **Bitrix:** go to "Marketplace" → "My Apps" → the "Updates" tab. Bitrix shows a list of all available updates along with their release dates. Updates are marked "Critical", "Important", or "Regular".
- **OpenCart:** the system version is shown at the bottom of the admin panel (usually in the footer). Check OpenCart's official site to see if a new version is out. For modules and extensions, check the "Extensions" section.
- **How often to check:** check the updates section at least once a week. If you see a red number or the words "Critical update", that's this week's task, not "later". Critical security updates should go in within 24–48 hours.
- **Don't forget plugins:** people often forget about updates for individual plugins and modules. An unused extension with an old version is a vulnerability. Either update it or remove it.

**Real-world example:** a few years ago, a popular WordPress forms plugin had a critical vulnerability. Site owners who hadn't updated lost all their form submission data (client addresses, phone numbers). Hackers sold that data on black markets. This isn't paranoia or scaremongering — these are real consequences. Set aside 15 minutes a week to check for updates. It's the cheapest and most effective insurance against a hack.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">12. How do I move my site to a newer PHP version? </a>PHP is the language your CMS is written in. Older versions run slower, and their support ended long ago. Modern versions process data faster, more securely, and are compatible with current tools. Switching to a current PHP version often speeds up your site by 20–40% with no changes to code or design at all. It's one of the simplest and most effective ways to boost performance.

**Why current PHP versions matter:** older versions contain known vulnerabilities that are patched in newer ones. CMS and plugin developers target current versions and often use syntax that doesn't work on ancient PHP. Hosts are gradually dropping support for old versions. Moving to a newer version future-proofs your site for the next 2–3 years.

- **Step 1 — check the requirements:** open your CMS's official documentation and see what minimum PHP version it needs. Make sure your CMS is compatible with newer versions. Current versions of WordPress, Joomla, and Bitrix all support the latest PHP without issues.
- **Step 2 — create a backup:** before changing the PHP version, always make a full backup of your database and files. If something goes wrong, you can roll back in 10 minutes.
- **In cPanel:** log in to your hosting panel, find the "MultiPHP Manager" section (usually under "Software"). Select your domain from the list, choose the PHP version you need from the dropdown (pick one of the current versions your host offers), and click "Apply". The change happens instantly.
- **In ISPmanager:** open "Domains" → "WWW domains", find your domain, and click on it. In the "PHP" section, select the version you need and save the changes. Some servers may need a web server restart (ask your hosting support).
- **In Plesk:** open your domain's page in the admin panel, find the "PHP Settings" or "PHP Version" tab, choose the version you need, and save.
- **Step 3 — check after switching:** open your site in a browser. Load the main pages, check forms, submit a test enquiry, open the CMS admin panel. If everything works — great, you're done. If there are errors, roll back to the previous version and contact your hosting support or developer.
- **If errors appear:** this often happens because of incompatible plugins. Disable all plugins one by one and check which one is causing the problem. Then remove it or find a replacement compatible with the new PHP version.

**Practical tip:** pick an actively supported PHP version — that's the sweet spot between speed and compatibility. After switching, check your site's speed (in Google PageSpeed or a similar tool) — you should see a noticeable improvement. If speed didn't improve, the problem lies elsewhere: unoptimised images, unused plugins, or poor caching.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">13. How do I make sure my site is protected with HTTPS? </a>HTTPS isn't just a nice-looking padlock in the address bar. It's a trust signal for clients and a requirement from search engines. If a site still runs on old HTTP, browsers show a red "Not secure" warning. This is especially critical for B2B sites: professionals and business owners won't send contact details over an "insecure" connection. Google also penalises sites without HTTPS in search rankings.

**How HTTPS works:** it encrypts the channel between a visitor's browser and your server. Data from a form (name, phone, email) is transmitted encrypted and can't be intercepted. To enable HTTPS you need an SSL certificate — a document that verifies your site's authenticity.

- **Step 1 — check for a certificate:** open your site in a browser and look at the address bar. If you see a green padlock and the address starts with "https://" — the certificate is installed. If you see a red "Not secure" warning or just "http://" — there's no certificate, or it's not working.
- **Step 2 — check your hosting panel:** log in to your hosting control panel (cPanel, ISPmanager, Plesk). Find the "SSL/TLS" or "Certificates" section. There should be an active certificate for your domain. Most hosts issue a free Let's Encrypt certificate that renews automatically.
- **If there's no certificate:** most panels have an "Install certificate" or "Activate HTTPS" button. Click it — this usually happens automatically within a few minutes. If there's no such button, contact your hosting support.
- **Step 3 — check for "mixed content":** even if the site runs on HTTPS, the browser may show a warning if some elements (images, scripts, styles) still load over old http://. Open the site in Chrome, press F12, go to the "Console" tab. If you see red errors about "mixed content" — that's exactly this issue.
- **Fixing mixed content:** you need to replace every http:// with https:// in the database and code. WordPress: install the Better Search Replace plugin, find every occurrence of "http://your-domain.com" and replace it with "https://your-domain.com". Joomla: there are built-in tools in the maintenance section. Bitrix: use the built-in search and replace in the admin panel.
- **Step 4 — redirect HTTP to HTTPS:** make sure every visitor who arrives at the old address (http://) is automatically redirected to the secure address (https://). This is set up in the hosting panel or in the .htaccess file (for Apache). On Nginx, this is done through the server configuration (ask your hosting support).

**Practical tip:** check your site with an SSL testing tool (search for "SSL Checker" on Google) — it will show whether there are any certificate issues and when it expires. Even though Let's Encrypt renews automatically, an extra check doesn't hurt. After enabling HTTPS, monitor your browser console for mixed content — it can noticeably lower conversions if visitors see red warnings while filling out forms.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">14. How do I use AI to quickly get a list of updates? </a>If you have a screenshot or text from your admin panel with information about available updates but need a clear, prioritised table, AI can do that in a minute. It'll help you figure out which updates are critical, which can wait, and put together an action plan. This is especially useful when there are a lot of updates or you don't know where to start.

**Why this helps:** when a site has 20–30 pending updates, it's easy to panic and start updating at random. AI helps bring order: it highlights critical security updates, separates them from regular feature updates, flags possible risks, and suggests an order of operations.

- **Step 1 — gather the information:** open the updates section in your CMS admin panel (WordPress → Updates, Joomla → System → System Overview, Bitrix → Marketplace → Updates). Copy the list of available updates or take a screenshot.
- **Step 2 — open an AI tool:** go to ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or any other text-based AI. Upload the screenshot or copy in the text of the updates list.
- **Step 3 — use a ready-made prompt:** copy and paste this text into the AI:

*"Here's the list of available updates for my site. Create a table with these columns: Name | Type (core/plugin/module) | Priority (Critical/High/Medium/Low) | Estimated risk (high/medium/low) | Recommendation. Highlight the critical security updates. Give a recommended installation order: what to update first, what can wait. Explain in plain language why each update matters or doesn't."*
- **Step 4 — get a prioritised list:** the AI will give you a table plus explanations. You'll typically see what to update right now (critical), what to do this week (important), and what can safely wait a month (cosmetic improvements).
- **Step 5 — follow-up questions:** if the list is long, ask: "Which of these updates could break functionality, and how do I check?" or "Which plugins often conflict with updates?" The AI will give you specific advice based on known issues.

**Practical tip:** use this method once a month so updates don't pile up. If there are more than 10 updates, start with the critical ones (usually 2–3 security updates), then move on to feature updates. After each critical update, check that nothing broke before moving on to the next one. It takes time, but it removes the risk of completely breaking your site with a bad update.

## Common website errors

![404 error](https://it-deweloper.pl/images/FAQ/404.webp)

### 404 error

Cause: the page has disappeared or been removed from the site. Solution — set up a redirect from the broken page to a current link.

![](https://it-deweloper.pl/images/FAQ/500.webp)

### 500 error

The cause is usually a conflict after an update, insufficient hosting resources, or a bug in an extension's code. Solution: contact hosting support or your developer right away.

![](https://it-deweloper.pl/images/FAQ/SSL.webp)

### "Connection not secure"

The browser shows this warning when the security certificate is expired, misconfigured, or some page elements still load over the old protocol. Solution — check and renew the SSL certificate.

![Slow website loading](https://it-deweloper.pl/images/FAQ/Load-Page.webp)

### The site loads slowly

Usually the cause is images that are too heavy, too many extensions, or an overloaded hosting plan. Solution:

![Contact form isn't sending submissions](https://it-deweloper.pl/images/FAQ/Feedback-form.webp)

### Contact form not working

Solution: check your CMS's mail settings, set up sending via an SMTP server, and test the form yourself.

![Site ](https://it-deweloper.pl/images/FAQ/website-layout.webp)

### Design and layout are broken

Text overlaps, buttons don't fit, the menu won't open. The cause is a layout that isn't responsive across different screens.

### Checking your site with AI

- **If the AI can open links** (ChatGPT with browsing, Claude, Gemini): just include the page address in your prompt — the AI will open it itself.
- **If it matters how the page looks visually** (say, the mobile version or a form): take a screenshot (Windows — Win + Shift + S, Mac — Cmd + Shift + 4) and attach the image to your message along with the prompt.
- **If you just need to check the copy,** open the page, select all the text (Ctrl+A), copy it (Ctrl+C), and paste it into the chat before your prompt.

### 10 ready-made prompts for specific situations.

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">1. I don't know why my site gets so few enquiries </a>This prompt helps you run a quick, do-it-yourself audit of your site and find the points where potential clients drop off without submitting an enquiry. The result is good for discussing with a contractor or setting tasks for your own team.

Prompt for AI:

`The site [website address] has traffic (or we're growing it), but it's generating noticeably fewer enquiries than expected. Analyse the site as an ordinary visitor looking for a service or product. Walk through the path from the home page to the enquiry form or contact page. Identify the 5 most likely reasons a visitor leaves without submitting an enquiry. For each reason, suggest a specific, measurable fix the site owner could make (no deep technical detail, but with a priority level). Give a final recommendation: which fix to start with for the fastest growth in enquiries.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">2. The site looks bad on my phone </a>Use this prompt together with a screenshot of your site's mobile version (take a screenshot on your phone). The result will help you understand why potential clients aren't submitting enquiries specifically from mobile devices, and show you concrete points to fix.

Prompt for AI:

`Analyse this screenshot of the mobile version of a website. Imagine you're just a visitor looking at the site on a phone. Judge how quickly and easily you can tell: 1) what exactly the company does, 2) how to get in touch or submit an enquiry. Point out any specific elements that look broken, too small (hard to tap with a finger), overlapping, or missing from the screen. Give 3–5 specific fixes, ranked by their impact on mobile conversion.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">3. Competitors look more solid, and I can't tell why </a>This prompt helps you run an objective, side-by-side comparison of your site and a direct competitor's. You'll get concrete, no-fluff differences that affect how solid a company appears.

Prompt for AI:

`Compare two websites: ours — [our website address], and a competitor's — [competitor's website address]. Compare on five criteria: 1) first impression (layout, colours, fonts), 2) clarity of the offer (is it immediately obvious what the company does and for whom), 3) proof of expertise (case studies, testimonials, client logos, portfolio), 4) ease of contact (visibility of phone number, enquiry form, messaging apps), 5) overall sense of being "modern" (fresh design, load speed, responsiveness). For each point, say whose site is stronger and why — only specifics, no vague praise or criticism, only factual differences. At the end, give a final takeaway: 2–3 key changes to our site that would close the gap in how solid we appear.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">4. The copy on my site sounds boring and generic </a>Use this prompt together with the text from your page (paste it into the request). The result will help turn generic phrasing into a convincing argument — without losing the meaning or adding fluff.

Prompt for AI:

`Here's the text from my website (pasted above). Rewrite it so it sounds convincing to someone choosing a contractor company. Emphasise a specific benefit (saving time, saving money, lower risk, more sales). Remove generic phrases like "we're the best", "a personal approach", or "quality and reliability" if they aren't backed by specifics. Replace them with facts: exactly what you do, how you measure results, what guarantees you offer. Keep the overall meaning and roughly the same length.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">5. I don't understand what the visitor is supposed to do </a>This prompt helps you check how obvious the next step is for a visitor (call, enquiry, view the portfolio). You'll get concrete recommendations for making your call to action stronger.

Prompt for AI:

`Open [website address]. Imagine you've landed on the site for the first time and you'll close the tab in 10 seconds if you don't understand what to do next. What are you being asked to do right now: call, message, submit an enquiry, download a proposal, view the portfolio? If the action isn't obvious within 10 seconds (button not visible, unclear copy, several equally prominent offers), point that out. Suggest 2–3 specific changes to make the main call to action (CTA) more noticeable and clearer for a visitor looking for a service or product.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">6. I'm worried my site has contradictory information </a>This prompt helps find contradictions, outdated data, or inconsistencies on your site that undermine visitor trust. The result is a list of specific places to fix.

Prompt for AI:

`Open [website address] and go through all the main sections (services, about, contact, pricing — if any). Find statements that contradict each other or look outdated (for example, mentions of events, deadlines, or prices that may have changed). List these spots along with which page they're on.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">7. I want to know what my site is missing </a>This prompt helps identify missing sections or elements on your site that matter for visitor trust and for presenting your company fully.

Prompt for AI:

`Open [website address]. Look at the structure of its sections: what's there and what isn't (for example: case studies, client testimonials, certificates, team, blog, privacy policy). List 5–7 sections or elements whose absence could lower visitor trust in your field, and explain why each one matters.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">8. I got a confusing error message from my hosting or site </a>Use this prompt together with the error text (copy it from the email or the screen). The result will help you understand how serious the problem is and who to address it to, without diving into technical detail.

Prompt for AI:

`I received the following error message from my site or hosting (text pasted above). Explain in plain language, with no technical jargon: what it means, how serious it is for the site's operation (urgent / can wait / not important), and which specialist I should show this message to for a fix.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">9. How do I run a quick site audit using AI? </a>Use this prompt together with a screenshot of your site's contact form. The result will help simplify the form and increase how often it's filled in.

Prompt for AI:

`Look at this screenshot of my site's contact form. Assess it from the point of view of an ordinary visitor: how many fields need filling in, are there any excessive or intimidating questions (for example, asking for an exact budget on first contact), and is it clear what happens after submitting. Suggest which fields could be removed or made optional.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">10. Which images should I replace to make my site look more modern </a>This prompt helps spot generic or stock photos on your site that lower trust, and gives recommendations for replacing them with something more genuine and convincing.

Prompt for AI:

`Assess the visual design of the page. Find stock or staged photos that give away a generic, templated approach and lower trust. Flag them and suggest what kinds of images to replace them with (real photos of your office, production, team, scanned documents) to strengthen your expertise.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">11. I want to understand why visitors don't make it to the enquiry form </a>This prompt helps spot bottlenecks on your site that stop a visitor from reaching their goal, and gives priority fixes to increase the number of enquiries.

Prompt for AI:

`Open [website address]. Walk through the entire customer journey from the home page to the contact form. At every step, note which elements slow down or stop progress toward the goal: distracting blocks, unclear headings, missing guidance. Give the 3 most critical fixes that would shorten the path to an enquiry.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">12. How do I move my site to a newer PHP version? </a>This prompt explains why you should update your PHP version, how to do it through your hosting panel, and what to watch out for — without tying itself to specific version numbers that go out of date quickly.

Prompt for AI:

`An old PHP version makes a site slower, and over time newer CMS and extension versions stop working on it. Moving to a current version speeds up page loading by an average of 20–40% with no code changes. This isn't done in the CMS but in the hosting panel: usually in the PHP management or PHP version sections for the domain (for example, "MultiPHP Manager" in cPanel, "WWW domains → PHP version" in ISPmanager, "PHP Settings" in Plesk). Before switching, check what minimum PHP version your CMS (WordPress, Joomla, Bitrix, etc.) requires — this information is always in the official documentation. After choosing a new version, save the changes and check that the site opens without errors.`

<a class="el-title uk-accordion-title">13. I'm not sure my site inspires trust </a>Load the home page of my site. Assess it from the perspective of a manager who's never heard of the company: are there enough trust signals (company details, real case studies, mentions of known clients, guarantees)? Point out what to add first to reduce hesitation and increase willingness to leave contact details.

## What modern tools can you add to your site right now?

---

### How to add an AI assistant for customers to your site

An AI consultant answers customer questions 24/7 with no manager involved: it helps people find services, case studies, and terms faster, taking the load off your sales team.

**Step 1. Choose a service**
Tidio (Lyro AI on the free plan), ChatBot.com, or ManyChat

**Step 2. Install it on your site**

- **WordPress:** the AI Engine plugin with the OpenAI API
- **Joomla:** the ChatGPT Bot module or the Tidio script
- **Bitrix:** the ready-made "AI chat" solution from the Marketplace
- **OpenCart / Shopify:** the ChatGPT Bot module

**Step 3. Configure it**
Upload information about your services, prices, and common questions. Set up handoff of complex queries to a manager.

Time: 1–2 hours, no developer needed

### How to add a cost calculator for services or a project to your site

The client gets an estimated price in seconds without waiting for a manager — this builds trust, filters out unqualified visitors, and increases the number of meaningful enquiries.

**Step 1. Choose a service**
Calconic, JotForm (with formulas), Typeform (branching logic), or a simple solution via Make (linking a form to a Google Sheet with a calculation)

**Step 2. Install it on your site**

- **WordPress:** the Formidable Forms or WP Cost Calculator plugin
- **Joomla:** the Convert Forms component with JavaScript calculations, or embed Calconic's code in an HTML module
- **Bitrix:** web forms with automatic calculation
- **OpenCart / Shopify:** the Product Options + Cost Calculator module

**Step 3. Set up the calculation logic**
Add fields: service type, volume, urgency. Define the formulas. Once filled in, the client sees the total and can submit an enquiry right away.

Time: 1–3 hours, no deep programming required

### How to set up online meeting booking with calendar sync

The client picks a convenient time for a consultation or demo themselves, and the meeting drops straight into your calendar — this speeds up scheduling and cuts down back-and-forth messages.

**Step 1. Choose a service**
Calendly, HubSpot Meetings, YouCanBookMe

**Step 2. Install it on your site**

- **WordPress:** the Calendly or Booking Calendar plugin
- **Joomla:** an HTML module with the Calendly embed code
- **Bitrix:** a booking form plus Google Calendar integration via Make
- **OpenCart / Shopify:** the BookThatApp or Appointo app

**Step 3. Set up the schedule and sync**
Connect your Google or Outlook calendar, set slot length and working hours. Paste the ready-made calendar code onto the page — clients can start booking right away.

Time: 30–60 minutes, no technical help needed

### How to add a public project status tracker to your site

The client can track project stages on their own and see what's done and what's in progress. The transparency builds loyalty and takes the load of status questions off your managers completely.

**Step 1. Choose a project management service**
Trello (free boards), Notion (public pages), or Monday.com

**Step 2. Install it on your site**

- **WordPress:** the Awesome Trello Board plugin, or embed an iframe
- **Joomla:** an HTML module — embed the board's public link via an iframe
- **Bitrix:** the embeddable "Iframe" block in a page section
- **OpenCart / Shopify:** add an iframe in the page editor

**Step 3. Set up access**
Create a board for the project, add the stages (Done, In progress, Waiting). Turn on public view-only access and embed the link on the site. It updates automatically as cards are moved.

Time: 20–40 minutes, no coding skills needed
